LOLOLOL OMG I had to pee I was laughing so hard. A bunch of bitter Betty's who have no life but to bash the Clones. That is till the Clones win, then it gets real quiet. BH has a wanna-be site that pales in comparison to Section 60. CD should focus more on his drug rehab and their minions have no clue what they are missing out on by not going to Cyclone games. The only thing getting full over there is their pants. They are all full of ****! They claim a junior hockey tournament (1 game) had 1500 people at the Gardens, and the Cyclones are inferior to everything. The only thing inferior is HECKLER'S GROVE!!!
Section 60 FOREVER Heckler's Grove, you can't hold Jim's floppy!!! |

I attended a number of Cyclones games last season, so I can say without hesitation that I'm not missing out on anything by not going to games this season.
My decision not to attend games this season has nothing whatseover to do with where the games are played, the name of the team or the league. I was told by a long-time Cyclones fan -- a member of the Fan Club in fact -- that I wasn't welcome at USBA, to go back to the Gardens where I belong. Fair enough, but when you look at attendance I don't think it's wise for Cyclones fans to tell anyone they're not welcome. But that's the mentality of some people.
Even though I don't go to Cyclones games, I still watch a lot of hockey. I go to Blue Jackets games. I'm going to see three NHL games in Tampa over the next two weeks (Dec. 27 vs. Montreal, Dec. 30 vs. Florida, Jan. 3 vs. Carolina), and I'll be seeing NHL games in Detroit, St. Louis and Pittsburgh before the season ends. I also watch NHL games on CenterIce and Versus.
When you look at the Cyclones attendance, instead of laughing at the post by TMWWI on HG, perhaps you should be asking him what kind of ideas he and the people he mentioned might have that could help the Cyclones. If ACHIG, for example, has an idea that would put an extra 50 fans in the stands he's worth reaching out to.

I have to agree 100% with what is said on the other forum, besides the posters being able to put butts in the seats (I'm not saying they can't but I just don't know). But overall the Cycloness marketting structure sucks. $10 a ticket is pretty cheap when it comes to live entertainment but minor league hockey for the casual person has nothing to do with the game (besides the fights) its about hanging out with friends for a few hours, drinking a few beers, and having a good time. Billboards and an occassional commercial aren't going to do it. Cincinnati has a huge population as its disposal, reach out to college campus' and make every night a $1 or $2 beer night. No college student can afford $6 a beer or simply won't even if they can and thus since drinking is a large part of a lot of college student's lives they simply won't come. Hell give the tickets away on campuses or area schools and teams. It costs them nothing to have a butt in the seat and at least make some money on consessions.
I have always been a huge hockey fan every since the Cyclones started and hockey is definitely a part of me but for most people its not and honestly the experience they offer wouldn't be worth $10 to me either if the game and team weren't a part of me. |

You have to have your regular beer prices to make the $1 and $2 beer nights work.

Heklers Grove is a joke. They say you have freedon of speech on thier site. YEA RIGHT. If that is true why have i been bann 3 time now? That site only has like 10 real members and the rest are one or 2 guys under diffrent user names and always bashinmg the cyclones. I'm sorry donnie that you had a few bad apples ruin your good time. But like i have said before there are ppl like that everywhere you go.(Dayton is the worst)I'm one of the ones who loved when we had 2 teams and went to both. What hockey fan could ask for more, Hockey every weekend. Hell i was happy. But for the handful over on that site that put the blame on the Cyclones fans for the AHL not coming back is stupid.I for one will follow hockey no matter where it's played. The Gardens and USBA both has it's ups and it's downs and good and bad things about both arenas. I just want live pro hockey here in Cincinnati. NO matter where they play. |

| Hey DH, just one question for you. When you started posting again on HG, why did you use the screen name of someone from this site before changing it to The General? |

I agree with you...I just love live Hockey which ever league it is and would go to both game if I ever get the chance again. I just hate seeing a team fold. The year here without hockey sucked and had to become a Dayton fan for a few games (boy did that suck!!) |

Because the screen name I wanted was taken by someone that registered it just so I couldn't come back and re-claim it. |

Yes that did suck (we were half-season ticket holders for the Bummers) and that was absolutely the WORST hockey we ever saw. |
What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

I always thought they should have campus wars during intermissions.. UC, Xavier, NKU and Cincinnati State. Have the ticket reps go with yard signs at local colleges around campus saying CYCLONES HOCKEY GAME TONIGHT. Just small things could get the college students hooked and bring back other students and with $1 dollar beers they would be in heaven.
