Thank you Justin Johnson....For allowing defeat to be snatched out of the jaws of victory. Any chance Coach Weber can go to Sports Plus and get some kid playing roller hockey to replace this total moron? |

I wish I could disagree, but when you know we are about to be called for a penalty-why do you choose to lay out a player at the feet of the ref ! Also,is it really legal to face the goalie and raise your arms to block his view? Justin, you show me some potential but you have to remember an enforcer is a goon if they draw the refs attention every time he steps on the ice.Let the other guy make the first move and coach-use him for now ONLY when he is under control.Down by two-up by two and then tied after regulation. What a long strange night. Lastly,Martin needs a day off,Too bad we didn't give him last night off so he would have had a little more for tonight. |

| To be honest....that was the worst game of hockey I've ever seen before, except when we turned it on for the four goals. One thing the team does know how to do this year is blow a lead no matter how big it is....look at last night. At least Johnson has some balls....Grover did nothing when a Dayton player stopped hard in front of Houle and gave him a face full of ice. |

| Great! Johnson has Balls....I guess that's where his brains are too. That would be about right, since his head is right next door up his own rear end. |

Drew can take all of that win himself. The guy stood tall. His defense left him out to dry all night. As soon as we went to the shootout I had that feeling he'd pull it out.
It's too bad we couldn't capitalize early in the game while Dayton chased Johnson around. Yap-yap-yap-yap.
Then again, with the way things are lately, maybe a three or four goal lead wouldn't have mattered anyway?

| No, thats not all I can say, that's just the beginning. The goal he cost us says nothing of the momentum killer it was. He also cost us a 5 on 3 advantage in the second period with one of his trademark bonehead penalties. Every time he gets on the ice you just know he is going to do something stupid. And that says nothing of his lack of playing ability. His puck handling is no better than anything else he does. His career +/- is minus 23 and has a career best 11 points in 57 games with Utah last year with 118 penalty minutes. Pretty pathetic for a forward. Why else was he a free agent on December 9th? Utah got smart and cut their losses. |

I'm with cloneinator.
Johnson has no sense of when he needs to antagonize. A useful enforcer is always aware of the score and situations. This guy isn't. In his few games here, he has taken several untimely penalties. He has cancelled out at least 2 power plays.
Tonight he gets the goat horns. The loss is squarely on him.
Weber is out of his mind if he doesn't lay down the gauntlet with this guy. One more stupid mistake and he should be cut. It's too bad since he is a straight goon-something I like on a team. Johnson is willing to mix it up and come to the defense of our skilled players (all two of them now!!!). He is a decent fighter as well. The Cyclones have needed a player like him for a while IMO. The teams doesn't, however, need a guy who shows a complete lack of control which takes us out of power plays AND costs us games. |

But, we love him in Dayton!
I think Barry Pochmara has probably reffed one of his last games in the ECHL. That guy was horrible tonight. You guys got screwed, as bad as we did as far as officiating went. |

| I know that everyone has been beating up on Johnson tonight. I thought how he played deserved it. Ok, early on it appeared that he was just beating on Dayton and sorta worked (no goals for us):-(. In the second period, we were on a 5-3 power play and a few second into the 5-3. Johnson for what ever reason needed to slash a Bummer. My thoughts were what in the hell were you thinking. It would have been better to stick check the Bummer and force the puck so a teammate could grab it and put pressure on Drew. I hope there is a better player than Johnson out on the free agent list, because the more we have to use him, the more the Clones will suffer through the nightmares Johnson is causeing. So far, I think he is only good for a viral videos. The first one should be him beating up Ocho stinko. |

| I agree Johnson takes dumb penalties, but our other players are safer on the ice with him out there. Look how Cohen got his ass beat last night and everyone else just stood there and watched him get pounded on...I didn't even see him fight back. Beside for Conrad once in a while nobody else will take aggression on our team when we need it...I'm not really one for fighting in a hockey game but sometimes it is needed, plus our fly by night fans love it and it will help bring them back. |

Great. Lets trade wins for a babysitter since the other players won't stand up for themselves. (Lets see, we are 1 and 4 since acquiring Johnson, and almost blew a 4 goal third period lead against Dayton Friday night). Are all the losses his fault? Absolutely not....he's just a major contributor. I totally agree we need someone who isn't afraid to fight when it's necessary. The problem is, this knucklehead ALWAYS thinks it's necessary, like when we have two man advantages so they can be negated. Utah cut him in the middle of a season for a reason, he is nothing but a liability. There is no way I can see Coach Weber keeping this clown any longer than he has to. |

Plus, I dislike anything Bengals period. So now when there is a Johnson 85 on the Cyclones... I'm going to not like him at all especially when he is fighting when we need to score. |

| I'm just bitter after watching that game...with the exception of the four goal period, it was boring and poor hockey. Most of the players on the bench even looked bored and not into playing the game until EGO scored the first. This team just doesn't have the heart of last years team. |

On a positive note... You have to be impressed by a team that can put up 4 goals in 15 minutes when they have to. During that time everyone (including Johnson) chipped in offensively and we absolutely dominated Dayton. Unfortunately...well...(repeat all previous posts here). And, like a player said at the postgame skate, we did take 3 out of 4 points from a team we are chasing in the standings.
Additionally I thanked TJ McElroy for delaying his Christmas vacation so we could skate with the players and he thanked me and everyone there for coming out and supporting the team...Classy. All the players that stayed for the skate were very gracious and accommodating. While Justin Johnson has been vilified on this board he was VERY pleasant with everyone at the skate. If anything he needs to learn time and place if he's going to stick on this team.
Merry Christmas to ALL...

| We may have taken 3 of 4 points, but keep in mind we also GAVE Dayton two points last night. That's a net of 1 when it should have been 4. Three points can be a lot at the end of the season. This team has to scrape for every point it can get and can't afford to give any up when they are in the bag. IF the Cyclones make the playoffs this year it will probably be as a number 4 seed. We may all be looking back at this little two game set here and saying "What if......" |
