| Please, everyone out there pray for a quality goalie. Cause we do not have one on our team....... 6 goals given up tonight.. Then we have a defenseman with more shots on goal than any forwards. And, he even received a game misconduct..... Sounds like Mc is one of the few that really cares, showed some emotion...... |

| I hear you smashmouth. I'm praying that we get our team back from Hamilton and Milwaukee. |

The funny thing about reading this message board is about how many whiners we have here.
My first ever Cyclones game was the first game of the 2007-2008 season and I even understand how affiliates and the ECHL works by now. None of you understand that this is minor league hockey. Get used to it already.

Sorry Randy but you need to be an old fan to realize the reason for "whining". The only season where I saw play like this was the year we "shut down".Management had inferior talent and just allowed the team to play the season out because they knew we were shutting down. This is what scares me about this year and the pathetic talent that has been brought in.To us "old-timers",goaltending has been a staple of Cyclone hockey.Cedrick-Pokey-Geoff- Frederick-Danny-Troy-Corey.....,the list goes on.With Martin we had that hope. |

| Bags, don't forget the first year in the IHL. Now that was some really bad hockey. |
What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

You are right somebeach but don't forget the moves that were made that even turned that year around. We started out pathetic but Troy Gamble and Sandy Galuppo were brought in to fix the goalies and Jeff Madill was traded for the much needed help of Iann Kidd and I think Shaune Kane (defensemen) and the biggest move,a small cog in Cyclone history named PAUL LAWLESS. |

| Yes, thats true, but the cogs didn't fit properly until the next season. If memory serves me correctly, we didn't finish with the fewest points in that season (61 to the Phoenix Roadrunners 58) but the following season we finished with 107. |

I don't think the departures of key personnel are a part of a larger plan...I think its just bad luck. Reynolds, Woods, Irish-Baker, Perkins, Toomey and Houle have all left for greener pastures. Howells left last year. They have a right to sell their skills to the highest bidder and/or not play if they choose. If the ECHL wants to compete with European salaries they have to pay like Europe.
As stated before our recruiting season was shorter than everyone else and we are overly dependent on our affiliated players who come and go on a whim. Even the most casual fan knew of that reality. Having two affiliates is a double edged sword which we wielded last year and have stumbled with this year.
All is not lost...We are only half way through the season and we are playing about .500 hockey and within a few points of a playoff spot. Yes, we have some major questions in goal and up front scoring but there is still time to put it all together. Maybe we'll get a few new guys or the guys we have will step up... Maybe Gajewski will put together a seven game shut out streak... Maybe Syro will come back and score 50 goals... Who knows, thats why they play the games. I'm not ready to throw in the towel yet. |

I'm not going to be the guy who says it's EARLY still...because it's not exactly early anymore. This team only has to be in the top 4 in the division to make the playoffs. There is no doubt that they have to have about 36 wins in order to get into the playoffs. With 40 games to go, and with having 14 wins, they Cyclones have themselves only ONE POINT out off the playoffs if the season were to end today.
They can't win by giving up 6 goals a game but, the defense is not doing a good enough job at cleaning the crap up in front of the net. I've never seen a team give up so many GARBAGE GOALS. Call-Ups are part of the Minor League game, we all know this. But this season, it seems as though the Cyclones were just behind the 8-ball when it came to bringing in players this season.
I don't think that Chuck was expecting Chad Starling to head out west which having him would have solidified the defense a little more. He wasn't a GOON like many people wanted him to be but there were very few shifts where he was letting rebounds hang out there. If they were close enough to him, he'd clear that puck. (NOTE: I was NOT a big fan of his)
If the defense solidifies, and doesn't have to worry about being goal scorers, this team will be okay. McElroy seems to be one of the only players on this squad that has a heart right now. Complain all you want about me saying they have no heart but, it really seems that way. They seem to be out hustled... and out skated. |

Frustration breeds doubt. The ECHL is a respected league and even if you don't have a contract with an NHL team,a good season will open more doors next year than playing semi-pro in knowwhere Alaska. These are the guys we need to find.I find it hard to believe that an open call in the hockey world can't land a few more guys even like J.J.This being said,I'm not talking about goon hockey players but guys willing to listen and at least give 100% effort.Give me 10 more Billy Irish-Baker's that at least go out and play and we can get through this season and maybe even sneak into the playoffs.Cody-where are you! |

I agree! I am actually suprised that there weren't many guys wanting to come here after we had such an outstanding season last year and with the amounts of our guys that do get their break in the AHL. I think we need to get the guys who WANT to play here not ones just collecting the paycheck and enjoying the nightlife. IMO, Chuck and Dean need to call Chris Ferazzoli who played here a few games last year before getting levelled in Dayton. He had 3 pts in 7 games while he was here and that was without him even having time to settle in. He is now playing in the EPHL in Jersey and has had 26 points in 15 games. (Only 2 penalty minutes for those of you worried about box warmers) To me, Ferazzoli is a player who would love the chance of coming here to get to play more coast games and would actually LISTEN to the coaches. He is a fast player and has great skills setting teammates up when he isn't scoring himself. I don't see why Chuck wouldn't give guys like Zoli a chance at this point. There are clearly guys on our roster who flat out aren't interested in focusing in the game and that is what is killing us. |

| If we were 10 or 15 games under .500 I'd be concerned. But considering all the call-ups and players leaving I think the teams doing just fine. It's easy to get frustrated especially after last year. |

The reason that Hamilton has three goalies is that Ceddy is hurt. Here is a link to the article. It will be at the bottom of the story.

of course they have 3 goalies...ceddy is day to day with a pulled groin. they aren't going to risk dressing him until they know he can go in a game; when that happens loic will most likely be returned. |
