The first goal Nie gave up was stuck between Nie's right pad and the Trenton player for a split second. When the Cyclone player pushed the Trenton player out of the way, the puck dropped, hit the top of the Trenton player's foot and went in the corner of the net. Nie was pissed but really nothing he could do except hope for a really quick whistle.

Apparently a fan got under the skin of an equipment manager or someone on Trenton's bench. That person asked for the fan to be removed from the premises and they were. From what I heard the yelling escalated from razzing to personal attacks with expletives.

That type of behavior will get you escorted from the premises in most venues. (Or a stick to the face from a player with little self control)

The 1st goal was a fluke. Like HFH said, You seen the shot and the puck, The puck was covered by Nie(or seemed to be) then there it was sitting in the back of the net. It even took the Trenton players by
surprised B/C he never Knew it went it until the Ref singled
GOAL.

I sit right behind him. He never drinks and he never uses expletives. He is just very good at getting the players to lose their cool. He got under the skin of the coach, who refused to play until he was removed. The only yelling was done toward the arena security personnel, by a lot of us. He was not removed. He left voluntarily so they could finish the final 24 seconds.
It was total BS.

Thanks Heckler for the info.I saw him make the stop, then all of a sudden I see it
creeping in.As slow as it was moving, you were probably like me and wanted to climb the
glass and stop it yourself before it went in.I was hoping the whistle had blown but
when you need a quick one-you don't get it.

Come on Mike, it was you!

What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

ZINGER!!!!!

"Come on Mike, it was you!"

It wasn't me, but I was hot. All I could think to say to the security personnel, over and over again, was "This is wrong, this is wrong!" They knew it but there wasn't much they could do about it.
To my Clone colored eyes, the coach was a real whiner, or weiner--whatever.

Agreed, We used to sit 3 rows behind the visitors bench (7 in the Gardens), I believe right across the isle from the gentleman. I have never heard him say anything to warrant being ejected from a game.

I'm not sure if anyone rememebers the original HecklerFromHell or not, I believe his name was Chris if my memory serves me right. He was absolutely insane, he was a true Heckler (did more than just bang on the glass (very annoying) and dance around (very entertaining), the guy found out things about guy's families and names of girlfriends/wives. Which yes was crossing the line but also very entertaining to watch players get hot under the coller. There were multiple times water bottles, gloves, sticks, tape rolls, etc etc were thrown in our direction. I believe he was permantely removed from his season tickets and forced to sit in the upper bowl if he wanted to attend games. There were times I swear players would get in fights just so they wouldn't have to return to the bench.

Good times, good times

I know who you're talking about, and yes I do think his name was Chris ... he had a picture of a devil on the shoulders of his jersey if I remember correctly. As far as him being banned, I don't know about that ... I remember someone told me he just got married and stopped attending games. Kind of crazy how someone that big of a fan would just stop going all the time though.

Regarding the man(because his is no gentleman) that was asked to leave the game against Trenton. I sit in front of him, and I saw it a different way. The man goes after a player every game and its getting old. He does not use bad words, but I use him to teach my children that He is a bully. He goes after players that have done nothing some games, and he hides up in the stands because he would not say these things to any players if he was standing right in front of them, because he would get his butt kicked. Last year he got a player from Reading so heated that he was using the F bomb, and he turned to me because i asked him to stop using it, and told me to shut the F up, and it made my 10 year old cry. The player had not even being playing in the game. I have no use for someone that has to pick on other people for a laugh or for their own ego trip.

Personally i think getting players to do stuff like that is funny. Not making a little kid cry but getting so mad at someone they forget about the game. We did that to frank littlejohn all last season and towards the end off some games he actually refused to go on the ice. For the most part its all in good fun but i agree some people take it too far. I wasnt there saturday so i cant really say if it was over the line or not

old time hockey bar the door, clear the track, ITS ALL OUT WAR!

Figured harrison would get a suspension...

http://www.echl.com/cgi-bin/mpublic.cgi?action=show_news&cat=1&id=17487

PRINCETON, N.J. - The ECHL announced that it has suspended Trenton forward Thomas Harrison for one game and fined him an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #403 at Cincinnati on Jan. 10.

Harrison was assessed a major penalty and a game misconduct under Rule 61.3 Slashing at 19:36 of the third period.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players’ Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player’s Hardship Fund.

Harrison missed Trenton’s game at Dayton (Jan. 11).

My answer to fan abuse like that may not be popular, but should be
considered.Remove the row of chairs behind the benches and penalty
boxes.Install a railing in front of the now first row so you have a
4 to 6 foot gap.Remember in Atlanta when the mascot rammed the glass
and almost sent our injured coach flying to the floor.Players should
not have to worry about some nut case smacking the glass (sorry HH)
behind his head or verbally yelling things just inches away.

I remember Chris (HFH). I use a different approach than he tho. I bang on the glass yeah, It is annoying YEAH. That's the point!! I annoy the apposing goalie. I also try to get under the skin of the other players. Last year I dangled handcuffs at an Elmira player. The year before that I had the whole Dayton team pissed because of a sign that read, "I'm 15 and online, need a date?" I also cursed at Fukifuji in Japanese "CATUBACHEMAE!!!" I don't drink and RARELY curse. If players are paying attention to me, then they are not into the game. I got kicked out of a game 2 years ago for going from my seat over to the penalty box to give Trembley hell for getting beat up by Stewart. I'm not into getting kicked out. I like to entertain as well as annoy. Call me a cheerleader I guess. If getting kicked out of every game is part of a "HECKLERS" job, I'll gladly remove my jersey and pads. I'm just not that type of person. I highly doubt Chris had many kids asking to get their picture taken or get autographs from him. I'm more fan friendly and that's the way I like it.

To me fan heckling and abuse is part of what makes hockey the greatest game on earth. More often than not the heckling is just that, heckling. Of course every now and then fans go over the line with personal attacks and stuff and they usually get thrown out which is wat should happen in some cases. When things get heated in a game things like that happen from time to time. I love hockey arenas because the seats are on the glass and literally right behind the bench and over the tunnel to the locker room which makes for great heckling. Most other sports don't have seating like that. To me it's just part of the game and if a player loses his mind and loses focus on the game because he can't tune out the heckling then that's his own fault.
