i loved the effort tonite...they played like a team....but i do have to play devils advocate here...sure we put 10 on the board tonite and we are all happy but is everyone going to be saying the same thing if we lose in wheeling on saturday. i hope we don't (i'm gonna be there) but this teams down fall has been consistency, one game scoring 10 goals only shows what they are capable of doing, not what they are ready to do....

sorry gotta keep it real.....

But I did get a laugh out of him in the third period with my NEW FAVORITE HECKLE..........After having scored 8 goals in 2 periods I greeted "OH MY" Darling to a snowman I made from the Zamboni Ice shavings!!! He looked, and did a double take and I could tell he laughed. As far as the 11th goal, "OH MY" Darling covered the puck about 6 inches outside of the goal, the whistle blew, and then the glove got pushed in. I never argued that call. Trenton can get their 6 points if they want. Final playoff spot and First place are far from each other, but then again, it is a tight race right now. WOW...WHAT A GAME!!!!!

Well i seen it differently since it happened right
in front of me How was his glove pushed in lol. He may
of covered it and his momentum carried his glove with the
puck underneath it over the line. Which should have been#11
when the whistle blew he pulled his glove back over the line.
But like I said I will take the win.

I'd have to agree. I will be very anxious to see how they come out Saturday as Wheeling will be fired up! The 'Clones were simply playing unconscious tonight...EVERYTHING offensively went right. As long as I have been going to games I have never seen ten goals racked up by the same team.

Ehgoetz getting four goals only leaves the affiliate looking at him, and we CAN'T afford to loose him. It seems a big reason the team lacks consistency is the call ups. Every time you turn around Chuck is looking over the waiver wire and to trade to make up for loses to them. I am hoping if the team just gets left alone a while they can start to jell.

And JJ? Well, what can I say? I still stand by what I said before, but he sure is coming around and that is great to see. He has been playing like a whole different person these last several games.

...And on the eighth day, GOD created the Cyclones!

According to the way the broadcast sounded, seems like we finally have a team that is clicking and working well together.

Here is a bigger surprise from last night. Two goals for JJ and I don't
remember ANY penalties for him.He got pushed around a few times but
to his credit,he kept under control. What a lousy no call on the idiot
holding Kilpatrick against the net.I don't blame Jimmy for fighting
and that was another shock.I really felt sorry for Darling because
with no relief help,he had to face the firing sqad.Who knows how many
chances we gave up in the third trying to feed JJ for a chance at the
hat trick.I was laughing because we left JJ on the ice thinking
Wheeling would start fighting, instead he goes out and scores himself.
I say use Juice in goal Saturday so Nie will be ready for the two
games next weekend against Dayton.

Traveller, cannot get a handle on your last post, I detect sarcasm maybe? look I don't think anyone here is implying the Clones are on their way to repeating.....and we are all well aware of the length of the season, just a few weeks ago it looked bleak, very very bleak, we are starting to play well together and we are feeling alittle better about the team right now......to heck with Trenton, we cannot do anything about them...we just have to play our game and take what we can get...go clones

No sarcasm, just stating some simple numbers, just like hrc did. No lies, just numbers. I agree that the Cyclones cannot do anything about Trenton, or Elmira, or anyone else, and need to just take care of their own business on the ice. Currently they are doing that, as winning 7 of their last 10 will show.

But they need to keep up that kind of consistency if they want to make the playoffs, and it would be easier for a team like Trenton to gain 6 points on the Cyclones with 4 games in hand, and only one other team to leapfrog, than for the Cyclones to gain 6 points on Wheeling, with 2 other teams to jump over, and 2 more games played than the Nailers. The first priority is to make the playoffs, and sitting in the final playoff spot with the most games played in the division, while it's nice to be optimistic about first place, I would think the first concern is to get the team to play well enough to stay ahead of the teams right behind them. Get on a real roll. One step at a time, one standings place at a time.

But I don't mean to rain on (or in this case, snow on/freeze out) anyone's parade. By all means, continue to keep track of the distance to first place.

I Hope Darling's mom packed the sunscreen for his neck.If not he is going to an awful burn. Could have put juice in for the third period but then again we did want to win the game and the way he plays in thirds let alone the whole game we just might have lost that lead

I'm hoping our wonderful team make the playoffs this year. I'll worry about what seed we are after we clench the playoffs.

Wheeling just had three players called up to the AHL and right now they are playing against Reading... losing 3 - 1 in the third period.

Sounds like even better of a chance of us winning Saturday night against them.
