Within a weeks span we have had to incidents where the goal judge lights it up and the ref disagreed. I believe the call last week should have been goal from my vantage point. Last night i didnt get a clear view of what happened but from what i could tell it was a goal. Glad to see the judge stick to what he believes he saw.

What are some opinions on these two calls?

Well, when the water bottle goes flying, you almost gotta suspect that the goal went in, but I was on the side he shot from, and it was hard to tell, but I looked right at the ref, and he was standing right there in front of the play, and didnt see it go in, which was why he cleared it as a NO GOAL....

Yes, again, another incident that was bs, and didnt go the RIGHT WAY...our way :)

I believe it WAS a goal... Herb made the right call (unfortunately for us). The Water bottle popping off the goal my decider. From my angle, it appeared that the puck entered the net at the upper-portion, went directly to the back of the net, "pushing on the net" which in turn shot the water bottle into the air... then deflecting back out of the net. It was JUST below the crossbar that from the Ref vantage point, I'm sure it appeared to have gone off the cross bar.

I saw no protest from Loic,so I have to believe he knew it was in.

I'm pretty sure it was a goal last night as well, hitting the top netting and then obviously knocking the water bottle off. The last time against Dayton, it was much closer and I think it MAY have crossed the line the first time the puck bounced and then rolled out. Both times I don't blame the off ice official for lighting the lamp because both appeared to go on from my view (well, the first was seriously 50/50) ... but the first time it was the boneheaded "I thought the puck was going in call".

After further review I think the proper call was made in all the cases. I did however think Sgroi redirected his goal in with a high stick but on the other hand I really don't like Sgroi and may be biased. (How's year NINE in an AA developmental league working out for you?) I thought the puck went in on all the disputed goals but I sit at the top of the lower bowl so what do I know?

I do know we have to put the puck on net a whole lot more if we hope to win tonight. (More than just pouring it on in the third.)

just one question, if it bounced off the water bottle, why did it come out the net the way it did (if it did hit the water bottle, it wouldnt have shot out of the net like that)

It didn't actually hit the water bottle... it hit the back of the net, which stretched the net, pulling out all the slack, which propelled the water bottle skyward.

from my angle the puck didn't hit srgoi's stick...it aappeared to me that it actually passed by his stick and deflected off his chest which is legal.....

as far as the "water bottle" goal...herb made the right call and more importantly stuck with his call....where is tim when we need him MWUHAHAHAHAHAHAHA....

go see the "official tim sucks" thread as to how i feel about the other goal.....

All three of those goals happened right in front of where I sit. The puck did hit Sgroi's stick and it was close to the crossbar. When he deflected it, though, the puck flattened out more than going up or down and stayed under the crossbar, so his stick must have been, right? It was close, I'd probably have to say good goal.

The water bottle one was exactly what was said earlier. It hit the back of the net and flexed the netting which popped the bottle off and got a bit of the back support which brought it back out so fast.

The most interesting one was the no goal. From my angle the puck was on the goal line and about 2/3 across when it was pulled out. Another couple inches and its all the way across and we've got a goal.
