Not much more I can say other than amazing effort when we needed it.

Taking advantage of Chaz's dumb penalty carrying over from the 2nd was big and so was that no goal.

Personally I wasn't sure if you could've gotten goalie interference on the final goal, but I'll take it any way we can get it.

Good ol' Chaz has to be feeling about 2 inches tall right now. What a goofball for making a spectacle of himself and indirectly costing his team the game.

Two sudden death OT wins in less than a week! I don't know how many fingernails I have left!

Plus we're guaranteed at least one more home hockey game this year! It would either be a sixth game vs. Elmira, or game three of the American Conference finals!

Doesn't home ice for the finals depend on what seeds are playing?

The Cyclones just never quit. It seems every night its going to be someone else who is going to be the hero. Mac Faukner was huge tonight. Its nice not to have to rely on the Eghoetz-Van Guilder-Syroczynski line every night.

Nie stepped up when called on giving something else for Elmira to try to figure out.

Lastly Ryan Sweeney STILL SUCKS! The passive-aggressive calls just have to stop. He pretty much hosed us in the first period, didn't call much in the second and hosed Elmira in the third (and OT). Even though it was the game winner someone had to have hit Teslak in the crease for him to be so deep. Oh, well we'll take it.

Enjoy the ride back to Elmira tonight boys!

Cloneiac,
According to the ECHL playoff rules, Cincinnati will most likely be the lower seed in the Conference Finals. If Florida wins the South Division, they will have home ice to due being the regular season champs (Brahbam Cup). If it was Clones vs. South Carolina, South Carolina would have home ice due to a higher winning percentage (Clones 60.4% vs. South Carolina 63.4%). It's a bit of a bummer, but remember the Clones kick ice on the road.

The Cyclones should be up 3-0 in this series for also overcoming the odds and defeating Ryan Sweeney as well as the Jackals. Rarely do I complain about officiating but when I heard it was Sweeney I had only hoped it would be even a fraction different than "the" WHL game last series. No, there weren't 23 penalties this time (yes that was the official total for that last WHL game), but it was just as bad. How about the phantom offside call in I believe the second?

Great come from behind win after that first period deficit, something they haven't been able to do in a while. The Faulkner penalty shot was BEAUTIFUL. Nie did a nice relief job. Just all around great game, reminded me of last year's game in the South Carolina series which we came back to win in OT after tieing it up late (just that time was from pulling the goalie).

Up 2-0. Time to get back to that "road ice advantage" and break out the brooms.

What more can be said about the character and determination of this team? Winners of the last 4 regular season games to clinch first. Overcoming an 0-2 hole in round 1 and then showing the will to win a game 7 2OT thriller. And now overcoming a 4-1 deficit to maintain home ice advantage.

Special thanks go to Psycho Steve Martinson for playing musical Captains. Asperlind was Captain on Friday night and Betts-who was a healthy scratch on Friday-was an asst. captain on Saturday. If it weren't for Chaz Johnson's incredibly retarded lip-flapping and entrance to the official's crease after the properly waved off kicked in "goal", then series is most likely all tied at 1's.

It's decision making like this which keeps 5 time AA Championship winner Martinson hopelessly buried in the low minors. Weber, once again showed his craftiness by yanking Loic. It's gotta be like taking candy from a baby for the very bright Weber against the neandrethal Martinson

Is there a video for the Game-Winning OT goal like there was for Wheeling game 7? I'd like to hear Hammer's call from last night..

Star of the game for the Cyclones-CHAZ JOHNSON .The whole game changed after
the idiot must have said the magic words to the ref after the called off goal.
After this point,it seemed the refs looked at us like last year-a team playing
clean and so gave us the respect we deserved on the calls.I even have no fault
with the two man Elmira power advantage.Ian took the player into the boards harder
than what was needed and Nie clearly sailed the puck into the crowd. It looks like
Weber had Loic on a very short leash last night. The slow save attempt on goal three
made it clear the minutes were up.Like Maxime last year bailing Cedrick out,Nie
bailed us out and deserves the start in game three. Before anyone says anything,
Elmira will throw everything at us and better for the veteran to handle this.I
would have no problem with Loic in game 4.

Jackals team captain Chaz Johnson came off the bench to argue the call and was penalized for unsportsmanlike conduct when he entered the area in front of the scorer’s table that is off-limits to players, setting up the Cyclones’ power play.

That, and maybe a choice word or two.

What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

That one goal (I believe it was the 3rd)
wasn't all Lic fault. he did all he could
to see the play infront of him, It was MacDonnals
Fault just as much as Loic and he knew it B/C
soon as it went in Matt turn to Loic and Said
somthing to him. Like he was saying My bad sorry
for not clearing my man. But I don't read lips so
IDK. But anyway Great game and I'm glad that they are up
2-0 going on the road. Go CLONES
