Thanks to all of the players & the coaches for a great season. You all have done a great job & you have nothing to be ashamed of. To be one round away from the finals is good in my book.

Thanks!

Hockey is life. All the rest is just small stuff.

Thats right. We had a good season. Nothing to be ashamed of. My hockey season is over.First my Rangers lose and now the Clones. Oh well, Summer is almost here. Guess I get to go to the Indy 500 this year. Missed it last year because of game 1 in the finals. See everyone in October. At least the Freedom start this week. I hate baseball but I enjoy going to the Florence Freedom games. If anybody wants to maybe catch a game, just let me know.

P.S. Hey Mark, at least I don't have to eat my words now. HA-HA

What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Truly a great season. We went from losing games 9-7 (yes, that is factual) with the goalie tandem of Gajewski (gasp) and the VERY "young" Lacasse, to seeing some retirements (Irish-Baker) to getting a new goalie in Houle and finally to Nie, and of course the drastic improvement of Lacasse after his trip to the A was nice. It took a little bit, but it was nice to see this team finally click and gel together to become victorious. I even remember the first game JJ was here when he took down the old Wheeling goon who's name escapes me at the moment.

Always hate getting swept ... not something we are used to. But South Carolina was the better team. At least they came out strong tonight and played until the final buzzer, giving us a glimmer of hope there in the first. The 7-game Wheeling series was outstanding, I'll always remember FINALLY getting one past Darling in double OT of game seven. Sweeping Elmira was just sweet. It was also nice to win the season series with Dayton for three straight seasons, as we unfortunately have to say goodbye to them now.

Just a great season. Would never have predicted even after the first month that we would even be in contention to winning the division, yet alone meet SC again in the Conference Finals.

Once again, thanks for a great season Weber and the boys. And congrats to the Stingrays and their fans who came to the games and dropped by on the boards. It was definitely fun to do the Conference Finals thing two years in a row. Here's to hoping for a third. Rooting for you over the Aces.

Oh and Wes ... that is not a good thing!

Mark (cyclonehole)summed it up very well.

The season started very unfavorably. Weber revamped the team and we ended up playing in a never to be forgotten double OT game 7 and sweeping our remaining divisional opponent. Certainly not a bad showing by any means. I know that I really enjoyed the second half of the season. The first half not so much.

The team continued to make great strides at the box office. An average of 3104 amounted to a 23% increase over last season. Though I was a bit disappointed in the tunrout of 3933 last night, the Cyclones still increased their average playoff attendance when compared with the first 8 games of last season's playoffs-3433 compared to 3243. This is a 6% increase and certainly very respectable given a 20% price increase, limited promotions and a battered economy. The playoff average was 11% higher than the regular season average. Only Alaska, of all the other 15 teams which qualified for the KC, shows an increase from regular season averages.

That big what if to me is if Beauregard hadn't been injured. I would have expected him to have been returned to us at some point from Hamilton. He is a natural goal scorer, something the Cyclones lacked this season.

The other what ifs are simply they are's. McElroy's injury (another concussion) deprived us of a very good point man on the power play. That would have been very helpful. Van Guilder just flat out hit the wall. Not having one's leading scorer produce in the playoffs often proves fatal. Not his fault as so many college rookies are used to playing Nov-march and about 40 games; not the 85+ games of Oct-May. He looked like a marathon runner in the 26th mile during the playoffs-he was all heart and no body. His defense was stellar despite his offensive desertion.

Our goaltending which had been stellar for the last month of the regular season and the playoffs turned south in the Conference Finals. Neither goalie was up to the impossible to reach standard of Cedrick Desjardins.

Enough already It's been a very good season and I'm looking forward to what is in store for next season. I'm sure a Weber thread will be appearing soon

I want to thank all the Cyclones Players, Coach Weber and Stork, John Hamel, Joe Stills (for working with me to revive the Rally Monkey video!), my ticket Reps (Andrew and Drew) and the rest of the Front Office staff, AND all the Fans that have frequented this website all season long! Thanks EVERYONE for all your hard work. This was an exciting season. Yeah, it didn't get started on the right foot.. BUT it sure did end up with an exciting end of Regular Season and a good Playoff run.

Congrats to South Carolina... Good luck in the Finals.

THANKS EVERYONE for a great season!

Certainly not a season for the boys to hang their heads about, and I'll bet it will be an interesting off season. Should Coach Weber still be here for next season, we all know he can find talent so there is no doubt they'll be right back in the thick of things next year. If he makes his way to "greener pastures", that will make things even more interesting.
Somebeach, I'm with you. The Rangers are my second favorite NHL team (next to the Penguins), and I was really hoping they would play each other. I just wish someone would knock off Detroit.
Until next fall folks, everyone have a great and safe summer.
Jevers, thanks for your hard work on the web site.
