I didn't think this team would achieve anything close to what they did this season. Like others have said the first half of the season left a lot of people (including me) scratching their heads while the second half was spectacular.
The playoffs were just icing on the cake; just like overtime its bonus hockey! The Wheeling series was the most frustrating/exciting round I have ever watched. Watching Elmira get swept was just flat out enjoyable! I thought SC was the better team in the Conference finals and they proved it with a sweep. A few more bounces/ goals may have extended the series but wouldn't have changed the outcome.
Our coaches and players have absolutely nothing to be ashamed of; they left it all on the ice. Watching the guys hobble into Gameday made me realize how badly they were beat up. Kudos to all the fans who showed up there to congratulate the guys on a great season. (I'm still trying to figure out my bar tab).
Lastly as Coach Weber reminded me there is one last coaches show at Jefferson Hall Monday night. If you missed Gameday don't miss the last show of the year. |

I just want to echo what's been said on this thread already. First of all, I want to say "thanks" to the entire Cyclones organization for consistently putting out a great product. They don't get the glory that the big guys in town do, but they still work their hardest to give us something to be proud of. In my opinion, that's all anyone can ask. Championships don't come around every year, but at least with the Cyclones, you get the feeling that they will be competing for it every year.
Along with my two brothers, I was a first-time season ticket holder (half-season package) this year. All I can say is that I could not be happier with my decision to go in on the tickets and we have already re-upped for next year.
I want to thank all of the players for their hard work this year. They came a long, long way. If you would have told me after the first month of the season that they would be in the American Conference Finals, I truly would've told you that you had lost your mind and you were in dire need of psychological counseling. This was a very good team we had the pleasure of seeing this year.
Unfortunately, SC was better. There is no shame in losing to a superior opponent.
Thanks to all of the fans that continue to make these games so fun to come to, from Section 60 to the HecklerFromHell and all of the assorted characters in between!
Here's to a great 2009-10 season. As always, LET'S GO CYCLONES!!

Although my heart is aching because our seasson has ended for this year, i also have a smile and a hug for all the players and coaches who worked so hard to give us this great season (now over). No team in the ECHL can have fans who love and are more proud of our Cyclones. When the new season starts we will be ready! We also have the sweetest ,nicest, most talented mascot TWISTER!!! Thanks for your part in making our season bright. Thanks loyal fans. Also, congrats to the Stingrays. They have an awesome team. They can beat the ACES and keep the cup in this end of the world. See you next season

| Hey what do you say we all devote Section 60 to the Alaska Aces for the next few games? South Carolina stole our cup and now I WANT REVENGE! |

Well, please don't roast me, but I will have to root for S.C. (GBS big mouth aside and certainly makes it easy to back Alaska). If we can't win the Cup again, we should only lose to the team that goes on to win it.
But then when it comes right down to it, I'm not going to lose any sleep over who wins it. |
...And on the eighth day, GOD created the Cyclones! |

I disagree with CMan. SC beat us pretty convincingly in addition to knocking off Florida (Brabham Cup winners, I might add) I hope they sweep Alaska as well. Should they win that makes us a theoretical third instead of a theoretical fourth.
Talking to the Stingray fans that I encountered they all seemed to be knowledgable and respectful in our building. I hope they get to share the excitement of their team winning the Kelly Cup like we did last year.

Although we were sorta beat fair and square,(bitterness) apparently holding folks by the head is allowed in SC, tying our guys up along the corners, kinda like the designated hitter, allowed in the South but not in the North However I could care less where the cup ends up at this point. Lets face it, I wished the SC fans a safe journey home, Didn't boo when the confrence trophy was given out, I hope for a safe passage to Alaska, and if they were broke down on the road I would certainly help, however I hope the Aces put a stake through their collective a$$es. respectfully of course. I could never understand this whole well lets keep it in the east, and this I would rather get beat by the champs...I call BS. I say Aces in 5.
Still sore from the whole Steelers Carson palmer thing and I certaily didn't say well at least the trophy stays in our division. NOT
The way I see it if we couldn't beat the Rays, and The Rays get their aSSes handed to them then I would assume we couldn't beat the Aces ourselves.....Go Aces |

Come on now, the Stingrays fans rooted for the Cyclones in the Kelly Cup Finals last season.
So many of us enjoyed tailgating with the Cyclones fans, we couldn't think of rooting against them.
Believe me, Goalie Broken Stick is not the voice of 99.9% of the Stingrays fans.
We are good people, honest. |

Yes, the majority of the south carolina fans are awesome. But for me, hockey season is now over. First, my New York Rangers and now the Cyclones are done for the season. Nothing against your team, but since my 2 favorites are done, so am I. Now it's time for other things (swimming, backyard bbq-ing,vacation,and of course Nascar). Hopefully the Cyclones will come down there during the next season (we will be there if thats the case). So good luck in the finals. |
What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
