Hamilton plays a tight-checking game. Teams don't get many scoring chances against them and that's the primary reason why Desjardins has such a low GAA. Last night he only faced 15 shots in a 3-0 win over Toronto. Put him on the Marlies and his GAA wouldn't be so impressive.
Everyone knows what Curtis Sanford can do. He's a solid depth guy for an NHL organization. This is Desjardins fourth pro season. It's time for Montreal to find out what he is by playing him over Sanford. If you're the Canadiens, you have to find out if he can be the No. 3 goalie in the organization. |

| Yes Donnie your absolutley right if Desjardin keeps playing like he is Montreal/Hamilton will probably put him as thier #3 goalie next year and be #1 in Hamilton being the goalie to be called up if Price and Halak get hurt. |

| Montreal will likely be forced to trade Halek by the 2010 NHL Entry Draft. He would be the No. 1 goalie on several teams, including Detroit, Philadelphia, Ottawa and Chicago. |

I agree with that, Donnie. Some players don't even get 4 years to develope.
BTW, Donnie, when is the trip to Florida? Be sure to take some pics of the games. |
What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

I will see Lightning games December 26, 28, 30 and January 2 while I am in Florida. Atlanta, Boston, Montreal and Pittsburgh are the opponents. |

A 93.7 save percentage stands out regardless of the system being played. Desjardins has proven himself to be a very capable AHL goalie over the past two seasons. It has come as a surprise to some of his detractors
Cedrick has been a winner at every level and been doubted at every level. He continues to prove himself capable whenever given the chance. He's 24 and it would be nice if Hamilton let him show his wares as a #1. With Sanford in the fold, I don't know how likely that is.
Note: Sanford has given up 4 goals on 24 shots in the first two periods of today's game vs. the Marlies. |

We are headed to Nashville in February (6th to be exact) to see Joe Thornton and the San Jose Sharks battle the Preds. We go to Nashville every year to see a game and every year Nashville gets pummeled. My friend has season tickets 7 rows from the ice.

You'll enjoy watching Joe Thornton play. By then former Cincinnati Mighty Ducks defenseman Shane O'Brien could be playing for San Jose, or possibly Nashville. Vancouver is trying to trade him and those teams are interested, but right now the Canucks want too much in return. |

Maybe I should take my Cincinnati Mighty Ducks jersey just in case. |

| O'Brien takes a high 2.5 minor penalties per 60 minutes, allowing between 2.30 and 2.80 even-strength goals against per game. He makes $1.6 million and doesn't provide anything offensively. One guy that doesn't have a problem acquiring over-priced gritty depth players is Toronto GM Brian Burke, so I wouldn't be surprised to see him end up in a Maple Leafs' sweater by Christmas. |
