That's exactly how it started. They were sitting at least 7-10 rows above us and walked down. They started stacking the cans right next to us without even asking or getting permission from us... since it was blocking half of our view. Also, even if we let them build the beer-a-mid when the beer cans fall... beer is spilled everywhere around it because there is always a little bit of beer left in each can.
I don't care if it's not blocking anyone's view or if the people around don't mind... but these people didn't even care. |

Randy, by any chance were you sitting in section 126 ? If so, these guys have been building beeramids all season and the ushers have been letting them as long as no complaints. A few weeks ago they did stop the people from tossing the "empties" down to the boys and it can get messy when they fall. However I haven't seen anyone complain and tons of seats nearby if people wanted to move. I agree if cans are thrown empty or not that this must stop. I also would like a "non-alcohol" family section where families can be in peace. |

To quote Hockey Traveller:
quote: I was actually seriously considering going to the game tonight...glad I didn't go now. But I have to ask...why would a sports facility sell unopened containers of beer? Every stadium/arena I've ever been to OPENS the beers before handing them to the customers. And not that it would hurt any less, but I also thought that most sports facilities only sell beers in plastic bottles, or pour them into plastic cups. If the arena allows vendors to sell unopened cans of beer to fans, or even allow the fans to take the cans with them, then that is a stupid decision, and the problem can be minimized by just making a few changes to the beer sales policy.
This isn't just any arena, this is the US Bank arena where customer service has never seemed to be a priority. |
