Fletcher slashed a fan--not once, not twice, but thrice. No blood but arm was plenny red. A report was submitted to the police I believe by US Bank Arena staff.
And this ws a fan who was just sitting there. It was the guy beside him talking trash. What a class act! S'groi in drag. |

Reading completely melted down. They had most of their composure back tonight but the momentum had fully shifted and it was too late.
Blame it on the coaches. Plain and simple.

No excuse a player hitting a fan with a stick, HOWEVER I have heard some talk between fans and players at other games that outside of an arena and ice, would have most certainly ended in the fan getting dragged around the black top with his face.
I see this all the time working in a busy Cincinnati ER, folks calling me names, dropping f-bombs,threats towards my family, spitting, kicking,and hitting. Mostly from drunks however, outside of the ED I most certainly would have run over them with my car. Again my disclaimer is this, no one should EVER take a hockey stick to any part of their body from a Pro hockey player. I have however heard some pretty terrible stuff come from the mouths of drunken fans...and sober ones for that matter. |

I'm currious how or where it happened because of the plexi-glass shields between the ice and the fans seating area

I'm currious how or where it happened because of the plexi-glass shields between the ice and the fans seating areathere is no glass if you are sitting on the side by the tunnel to the locker room so it would be easy for a fan and a player to get into it or even a player comming up in the stands. maybe USBA need to look into buying some kind of a tunnel they can pull down when the players are comeing and leaving the ice. Something like the gardens use to have would work. /quote] |
