Midway through the second period, Sam D'Agostino picked up his ninth goal of the year as his laser-accurate wrist shot beat DeMichiel for a 2-0 lead. | This was by far one of the best games the team has played all year. They kept their cool against a very good team who was getting frustrated with calls, Pickard showed why he was a number one pick in this game, great performance! Hopefully the team can keep this streak going, too many times this season we have won 3-4-5 straight but then lost 3-4-5 straight. The last few years when we won 3-4-5 straight and lost we only lost once and won another 3-4 straight, hopefully the team can continue the winning ways throughout the most grueling part of the schedule and hopefully we can take advantage of the number of home games this time then last. Knock on wood and hope they win! |

Hats off to TJ Fast on his assist on the last goal- a text book slap pass that had everyone in the barn looking for his shot. Bravo to the Captain for his ability to take the hard pass and let his own slap shot go all in one motion. Plays like that are wroth the price of admission.
Three power play goals--four in two games and great two way hockey once again with strong goaltending. Love the new style they are playing at both ends of the ice as well as the pp and pk. |

The best defensive effort, by a country mile, we've seen all season. Pickard played well, but from my seat SC only got two really good scoring chances the whole game.
I have my fingers crossed that the boys used the all star break to make some adjustments and get their act together. IF they play like that the rest of the year, we are a contender again. But I'm not getting excited until I see it consistently, and I'd really like to see it against Wheeling. We've been embarrassing against those guys at home.
That was some fun hockey today. I loved the long backed and forth play with minimal whistles in the 2nd period without a single defensive letdown by the good guys. And I'm having dinner at City BBQ tomorrow night!!!
