Sometime ago, a question was asked if anyone thought the Clones would make the playoffs. I havent looked at that thread lately, but I believe I may have been one of the first to say quite frankly, "No."
Well, it appears as I may have been quite wrong.
I am glad to say that I am eating crow and right now, it tastes pretty good! (Oh how I hope I just didnt jinx the team by posting this!) lol
Don't throw the crow away quite yet . Being outshot 49/18 is not going to win us many games and we have K-Zoo the last two games. These are three 4point games this weekend with Toledo and almost like a mini playoff series. We need to put the last seven games (1-5-1) against them behind us and get at least three points giving them four points but only a gain of one for the entire three game set . Gwinnett is only five points behind us but has a very tough schedule including 2 games this weekend against Reading.
There are three teams just ahead of us by one and two points. Wheeling and Florida play head to head twice this weekend and Elmira plays K-zoo twice. Lots of scoreboard watching but the bottom line is we have the playoffs in our own hands which is where you want to be.
I would expect the first period tomorrow night to be brutal as Toledo will try and establish their physical game upon us and set the tone for the whole three game series. How many fights in the first five minutes?
