Photo Gallery Help

Use the drop-down box "Select Person..." to pick the User you wish to view. This will bring up a list of "Galleries" for which the User has various Photos for you to view. Click on the "Gallery" you wish to view. At this point, you will be presented with a list of Thumbnail Images. To view a larger version, just click on the Thumbnail. You can also, at this point, cast a Vote for this Photo. There will be a running tally of the TOP FIVE PHOTOS that will display on the Photo Gallery Home Page.

[UPLOAD PHOTOS]

Click this to Upload Photos to the Photo Gallery! You will be presented with a form that will allow you to Browse your computer to select the Photo you wish to Upload. (Valid Photo formats include: JPG, GIF, BMP, TIF, and PNG) You will also be able to add a short Description for the Photo. Also, you will be able to select an existing "Gallery" to insert your Uploaded Photo (OR you can create a NEW "Gallery"... perfect to organize your Photos!).

Once you've completed the Upload form.... just click "UPLOAD" and your Photo will be sent to the Photo Gallery.

There is no need to resize your Photos! Once you Upload your Photo, it will AUTOMATICALLY be resized to a 640 pixel width (for wide images) or 480 pixel height (for tall images) BUT will maintain it's aspect ratio!

HOWEVER, there is a File Size limit of 4 Megs! So if your Photo is larger then 4 Megs, you WILL need to reduce the File Size of the Photo before you can Upload it.

NOTE: ALL Photos Uploaded MUST be Approved before they can be viewed by others. When viewing your "Gallery", you will see "Not Approved Yet" under any Photos that have not yet been Approved.

[Turn Admin Mode: ON]

Click this to go into "Administration Mode". This will allow you to edit various things on each of your Photos.

"Users can see" - CHECKED, will allow other Users to see your Photos.

"Delete" - CHECKED, will REMOVE the Photo from the Photo Gallery. (You would have to re-Upload it to get it back!)

"Sort" - Enter a number for sorting your Photos. Example: If you have 3 Photos in your Gallery... Photo #1 you enter "2000" into the SORT field; Photo #2 you enter "3000" into the SORT field; and Photo #3 you enter "1000" into the SORT field. Now, your images will display in this sorted order: Photo #3, Photo #1, Photo #2

"Description" - Edit the short Description of your Photo.

"Votes Received" - Shows the number of Votes other Users have given your Photo.

"Gallery Name" - Allows you to re-name the Gallery Name.

[Turn Admin Mode: OFF]

Click this to turn OFF "Administration Mode".
