Didn't know you people knew. Not every game that someone yells for someone who isn't playing, yet alone 2 games in a row. Sorry. Have fun. |
What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Speaking of annoying fans, the group who sit in 130 (a few rows in front of me by the way) who whenever there is a Cyclones penalty, cleverly respond with "2 minutes of shut the hell up" What on earth does that even mean, all I know is that they annoy the crap out of me.
That chant and the "He shoots,he scores, hey (insert goalies name) you suck!" are both mildly / very annoying at times. Atleast that Heckler from Hell is gone. I've actually witnessed mothers requesting their children be pictured with him. Wow.
AWWW...jealousy gets you nowhere!
That's great advice, but you should save it for someone who is actually envious of you/others. |

| Everyone has the right to do and say what they want as long as it doesnt negatively effect anyone else at the game. My point is that as a season ticket holder that attends around 30 games per year, some of the chants get really old. As does hearing the same intermission music over and over. I'm not against fan chants but how about coming up with some new material from time to time if you are going to do them? Ultimately it's not even a big concern of mine,if it was I would stop going. |

Verbal assaults will get a reaction......a loss of focus and/or made angry........but in the long run only make the local fans look bad!
So which works better??? 'Site Gags' that make players take a second look or laughed at and lose their focus.........or verbal assaults that make a player angry, lose focus and make local fans look bad???
I havent seen any player during game action take notice of any fan. These are professional athletes and it is totally unlikely that they would ever have their nerves rattled by fan in a costume banging the glass or doing anything to be noticed. I can also say with confidence that the words "Alright men, we must figure out a way to contain the Heckler tonight!" have never bounced off any locker room walls. |

| And by during game action I mean while the game is being played, not during breaks in play when it doesnt matter anyway if they are looking in the stands. |

| You might not think it but i have def seen "HFH" get goalies to be "Off". It may be a break in play but it sticks. I can't remember the goalie but He slammed his stick into the glass after a goal right in front of "HFH" I no doubt believe that he got into his head and was off his game because of it! |

Hi, I just happen to be one of those "annoying fans" that your talking about that sit in section 130 and do our chants. I don't get what the big deal is just because were able to enjoy ourselves and have some fun. If I wanted to go to go to Church and be bored then I would of went there, however, this is hockey! I'm not just going to sit there on my hands and be bored like alot fans that come to the game!
The Only problem I have with the folks in section 130 is if you dont understand one of their chants and ask 'em about it, they get all defensive. I dont care what they yell...have fun...but if you are that sensitive, maybe hockey is not for you. Sorry I asked a question! |

I have had Yannick tifu's attention on more than one occasion (once while he was attempting a one timer) and I was under Joe Fallon's (Goalie with Gwinnett) to the point where he looked directly at me and told me to "shut the f**k up." (We got pulled pork that night) although my fun with Joe dates to the ECHL All Star game that took place in Reading. So yes, players do here us and they do react. As long as it can be said on radio or tv then it's fair game in my book.
As far as reoccurring chants go, the "Section 60" guys in 140 have several and we do them regularly and we will continue to regardless of what people think. As a fan of Euro soccer, Celtic FC in particular there are something I will never get tired of hearing. In fact, if I could get the entire arena to sing a specific song or chant after a goal I would love it. Hearing supporters sing "Just Can't get Enough" after Celtic goals gives me chills (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZCAN_F-nPC8) |
"PBR can do that to you....1,2,3,12 beers and you're f**ked" -oscar
"and i don't give a damn 'bout my bad reputation" - joan jett
"beer is proof that god loves us and wants us to be happy." - benjamin franklin
"is that a pulled pork sandwich i smell?"
"some things are just better without pants...."

During the last home game vs Johnstown last year, Bear Trapp pointed to his crotch and told me to perform felatio on him and all I did was laugh and point at him after we scored a goal on them. Of course he was not as politically correct with me. lol
Rick Cleaver threw the top of a sports bottle at us last year. We hadn't done or said anything, but he threw it none the less. Now the folks behind us, they were letting him have it! |

I'm another one that sits in 130, but, yeah, some of the chants in 130 I don't even chant just because I'd rather be watching the game.
It depends on who you ask in our contingent on what the chants mean. I'm one of the ones that is reasonable about an explanation since I've been watching this team since '97.
Apologies to anyone who took offense. We are an enthusiastic group (some more than others), but we do try to have a good time. Hopefully not at the expense of others' enjoyments. |

You guys aren't bothering anyone. We sit a little lower and to your left and have no issues at all.
Sometimes in our entitled, fat, selfish society we forget that there is a difference between just being annoyed because we dislike something and actually being EFFECTED by what someone else is doing.

Sorry, but do to their "nastiness" to the outsiders, some people are EFFECTED, as you said. |
